WELCOME
The Eastern Shore Medical Alliance (ESMA) brings together physician (MD/DO) spouses and families throughout Baldwin County to support local needs and each other. Members of ESMA enjoy several social events throughout the year as well as many opportunities to serve our local community. We are proud to partner with the Baldwin County Medical Society to provide additional opportunities for fellowship and networking.
Meet Our 2023-2024 President: Barbara Nutini
Barbara is originally from Kentucky and worked in Cincinnati as an RN in the ER and open heart recovery, and is married to Vernon Hermecz, a retired Emergency Medicine physician. Vernon is a Fairhope native, he has four other children, and together they have two daughters, 35 and 32, an internist in Arkansas and a PA with Bay Family Medicine on Section St. in Fairhope. They have lived in Fairhope now for 26 years. Barbara is also a volunteer at Thomas Hospital. She believes that the ESMA has been a great source of fun, camaraderie, and a way to be supportive to the needs of our community. "It's great to be able to keep up with the new physician families that come into our area."
